How to use Random Pair Generator
Enter one participant per line and select Make pairs. The list is shuffled into pairs. If the participant count is odd, one person sits out that round. Copy the pairings to share them.
Frequently asked questions
How can I quickly pair students for a classroom activity?
Add the student names, one per line, and select Pair people. The list is shuffled into pairs so you do not have to assign partners one by one.
What happens if there is an odd number of participants?
Everyone else is paired, and the last person is shown as sitting out that round. The list is reshuffled when you make another draw.
Can I draw partners for a game or event?
Yes. Add the participants and create random pairs for doubles games, workshops, or any activity that needs partners.
Does the tool prevent the same pair from appearing again?
No. Each draw reshuffles the names, but previous rounds are not tracked, so the same pair can appear again.
